Experience

I trained as a psychodynamic counsellor and psychotherapist, qualifying in 2006.

I have worked in a wide variety of settings, including higher education, voluntary agencies, PACE (LGBTQ charity), NHS child and family clinic, and in private practice.

My therapeutic work has been with adults, young people and children.

I have also delivered therapeutic groups and workshops specifically to LGBTQ people, including those impacted by domestic abuse, and also young people.

I have offered clinical supervision to counsellors in various settings.

I have also managed counselling services and taken up clinical lead roles in universities.

Qualifications, accreditation and memberships

  • Qualified (Birkbeck University of London) with MSc in Psychodynamic Counselling / Children & Adolescents (2003 -2006, Distinction)

  • Registered member of BACP (British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy) and gained Accreditation status in 2008. I work according to BACP Ethical Framework

  • ‘Developing Supervision Skills’(2024) at BPF (British Psychotherapy Foundation)to expand my practice

  • Member of Climate Psychology Alliance
