About me
I am a qualified and accredited psychodynamic counsellor and psychotherapist, with over 20 years of experience working with people from a wide range of ages and backgrounds.
I am committed to my work, and care deeply about people, their wellbeing and place in the world.
I am conscious of how difficult it can be to start talking openly, and my aim will always be to establish a safe, creative connection – so that what has perhaps previously been unspoken can be shared, processed and understood together.
I have worked in private practice, as well as many years in counselling and senior counsellor/manager roles in university settings. I have also worked in a variety of voluntary agencies, such as PACE (LGBTQ+ charity) and Brook Young People’s Services.
The settings I have worked in have meant I have been able to work with people from a wide range of social and cultural backgrounds, sexualities and gender identities, and, more recently, neurodiversities.
I am also a musician and have a strong sense of the therapeutic value of music and our own creative expression.
